For the past 22 years, the Shenandoah Chapter has awarded $92,500 in scholarships to 85 area graduating high school seniors planning to attend Virginia Tech. We thank all of our community supporters and donors who have made this possible, primarily through our "Greater Hokie Open" golf tournaments!

BACKGROUND
Since 1990 all scholarships have been J. Kenneth Robinson Memorial scholarships except where noted below. J. Kenneth Robinson was a Representative in the U.S. House from Winchester, Va. He was an alumnus of Virginia Tech who died in 1990 at the age of 73.
In 2002, the Chapter awarded its first Denny Lee Memorial scholarship, to be awarded annually to a James Wood or other H.S. graduate. Denny was one of our Chapter’s founding leaders; and he remained an active member and advisor until his untimely passing at age 52 in 2001.
In 2009, the Chapter awarded its first Brian Bluhm Memorial scholarship, to be awarded annually to a Sherando or other H.S. graduate. Brian and his family lived in Stephens City, Va., when his life was tragically ended on the Virginia Tech campus on April 16, 2007 at the age of 25.
